Three Alternative Subscription Boxes

3 Alternative Subscription Boxes MLB

Subscription boxes are big news these days. You can get them for just about anything from bacon and gin to the more mainstream beauty boxes you see everyday.

Although the concept is great fun – who doesn’t love getting a surprise package in the post each month – they can often be a bit hit and miss. So I wanted to share with you my top 3 sub-boxes that offer something a little different – whether that’s in terms of content’s or the way they work!

And don’t worry – I’ve only photographed what was in previous month’s boxes so there are no spoilers here!

My Little Box

You may have heard about this cute french brand already, but they send out a monthly box that always contains a beauty, fashion and lifestyle product. They come packaged in the cutest little boxes like this ‘My Little Provence’ Box that came through my letterbox last summer. What I love about this box, is everything in it is so pretty that even if you don’t make use of everything, they make great gifts for friends too!

You also get an A5 illustrated print or postcard which often feature inspirational quotes, and glossy mag in each box. It’s definitely these little extra touches that make it feel special.

The brand even make’s its own ‘My Little Beauty’ products, and everything I’ve tried from the brand so far has been absolutely gorgeous, and packaged so beautifully. The only downside is you can’t buy the beauty products separately in the UK yet!

My Little Box – £14.95 per month.

The Libbie Club (C/O)

The Libbie Club is a beauty box that work’s in a slightly different way. You can pay a £30 one off subscription fee, and then receive a monthly box with three beauty products in for free every month, as long as you either buy one of the products in the box, or encourage someone else to buy one with your recommendation. Alternatively you can follow other people who are members of the scheme – wait for their recommendations and purchase the products individually, but often for a discounted price.

I’ve had two boxes sent through so far and I’ve been so impressed with the quality of products I’ve received. You can’t go wrong with Cowshed goodies can you, and the coffee scrub is just divine! This month’s Nizz lipstick is a brand I’ve not heard of before but the formula and colour are really pigmented and long-lasting, and I would definitely buy from them in the future.

3 Alternative Sub Boxes - Pet

Pawsome Box (C/O)

Subscription boxes aren’t just for humans anymore, even your fluffy babies can get involved. I was so impressed by the Pawsome box when it came through for Sylvie – she even sat down next to me and watched me open it.

Although it’s a fraction more expensive than a lot of boxes it was absolutely rammed with goodies that any pup would love. Toys, squeaky balls, and soooo many treats. And there was even a lint roller for the owners. My favourite item was by far the dog bowl that works as an ice pack to keep your pup’s water cold in the hot weather, and it’s little ingenious inventions like this that you don’t discover without a subscription service! It also will save me a lot of emergency Pet’s at Home trips when Sylvie loses her balls in the park!

Best of all it comes in a kitty version too!

The Pawsome Box / The Purrfect Box – £19.90 a month

I love the idea of subscription boxes for your pets, haha – We spend so much time pampering ourselves that sometimes we forget to pamper our pooches, too – or well, give them more treats.

    • it is so great, and also takes the hassle out of remembering to go to the pet shop to make sure you have treats too!
