We’re all very pleased to see you! I’m sure you know what’s been going down over the last 12 months or so, and its all been a little bit crappy over here on planet earth. We could all really do with some cheering up – do you think you might be able to help?
I’ve written down a few things I’m hoping will happen in 2017. I guess they are a little like resolutions, but if I call them that they will never stick so instead I’m calling them my wishes. I hope they all come true, but I’m a realist so I know it’s unlikely. But even if I don’t get through this list – I’m sure 2017 has a host of wonderous things in store for all of us!
I wish, I want, I will
I want to help rescue the people of Aleppo who are living in fear everyday and night. I want to swim out into the mediterranean sea to rescue the refugee’s who are risking everything in the hope of a better life. I want to help the people whose lives are about to get a whole lot harder under Trump’s regime. I want to help the people whose lives are about to get a whole lot harder after Brexit. I want to help feed the world, develop vaccinations to protect people from disease, I want to help save the orang-utan’s and the African Elephant’s and the Indian Elephant’s and all the animals who need saving.
I hope that I can help in someway even a little bit.
I want to stop caring about myself so much. I want to appreciate every wonderful thing that I have instead of worrying about what I don’t have.
I want to stop making promises to myself that I know I won’t keep as I’ll only be disappointed.
I want to learn a language. I want to learn a lot about as many things as possible.
I will create important things and un-important things and bad things and good things. I want to write my play, I want to bake cakes, I want to learn to sew so I can hem all the things that don’t fit me.
I will eat more vegetables and drink more water.
I will tell people I love them more often. It’s nice to know that people care.
Happy New Year Friends
