March Goals

First off let’s start with all the reason’s March is great – feel free to add yours in the comment section.

  1. SPRING TIME HAPPENS
  2. Mother’s day – a lovely day to celebrate any maternal figure in your life that you love. Mum’s Grandma’s, aunties, dad’s that have had to do both jobs, anyone who has been there for you deserves some loving.
  3. Easter – the perfect excuse to put pretty daffodils up around the house, eat hot cross bun’s, and all the chocolate you can fit into your belly on one day without being sick. or with being sick depending on how dedicated you are to the easter cause. (I’m not religious – can you tell?)
  4. Bank Holiday’s and four day weekends. Need I say more?
  5. The morning’s and evenings start to get lighter. More time for blog photo’s plus you don’t have to get dressed in the dark.

Now I’ve got to be honest. I didn’t do too well with my february goals. In fact – I just had to go back and check what they were, which gives you an idea of how focused I’ve been on personal improvement this month. And yes, I neglected all of my goals, and therefore failed at all of them. So guess what my first goal this month is guys:

Weekly goal check-in’s: yes, because I think they are needed to keep me focused. They will serve as a little reminder, and progress report. I’m not going to beat myself up if it doesn’t go so well though, because what’s the point in that. It’s just so I can keep a check on myself and my progress and try to become a healthier me!

Keep up my blog schedule: I’ve been SO good. I mean, I know I don’t post everyday, but more than once a month is bloody good with my history so two to three times a week makes me feel like I deserve some kind of lifetime achievement award. It’s a great feeling. What makes it better is that you guys have all seemed to be really enjoying my content too – which makes me want to post. Unfortunately towards the end of Feb, I got out of the habit a little bit. I just stopped prioritising blogging, didn’t find the time to take the photo’s, couldn’t be bothered to schedule my tweets etc. and I don’t want to that to happen again.

Do my washing more regularly: I know what your thinking, and no I don’t have any problems with personal hygiene thank you, I shower everyday and I always wear clean knickers. However I own a lot of clothes, and a giant laundry basket that can hide them for up to a month before I start running low and decide I should probably clean them. The only problem with this system is that I build up so much that I genuinely dread having to do it. It takes a whole blooming day, and it makes me huff and puff and fake cry in an over-dramatic way (Actor? Moi?). So yes, in March, I will aim for one load of washing a week.

5 a day: Actually scratch that, I’ll settle for two and less chocolate. My eating has been out of hand in February, and I need to sort it out. I’ve kind of been waiting for a ‘fresh start’ opportunity to kick my bad eating habits because it’s got so far now, I almost just can’t stop. I ate two whole tubs of ben and Jerry’s in two days for no reason other than ‘well I did it yesterday, so I’ve already been unhealthy this weekend I may as well continue’. Terrible logic. I will stop.

Good luck with your goals. I have to be honest and say I never set them, just seem to trundle along, although the one about doing more washing certainly rings a bell.

    • Thank you! I’m not sure the less chocolate bit has been working out this close to easter though! too many mini eggs around! haha

  • Great goals. Mine is to spend less on food and coffee from coffee shops and prepare more at home! I know I could save a shedload of money but the convenience gets me every time. That and to keep my flat a little tidier!
