Just a quick one to say that I hope you all have a fabulous bank holiday weekend, whatever it is you are celebrating. Enjoy yourselves!
Whether you’re on your own, or with family or friends, or working, take an opportunity to appreciate life, and the new life that spring brings with it. Pick up some daffodils, eat as much chocolate as your body will allow you, and try not to think about your concerns, worries, or fears. The world is a dark place, and it’s important to take some time to focus on the joy, and the good in the world. Easter is the perfect opportunity. Personally I find this easiest when I’m surrounded by nature. So I will probably be taking a good few long walks in the park, or woods with Sylvie. It’s amazing to watch the season change from winter to spring. It gets a little further every day, and standing in a field with bright sunshine, but a bitter wind is strangely therapeutic.
Personally, I’ll be having a quiet one. My family aren’t religious, and everyone lives all over the place now, so we don’t tend to get together at easter anymore. I remember mum making a big deal out of it when we were kids, but Easter definitely is one of those holidays that’s made for children, and unfortunately, egg hunts just aren’t as fun as they used to be. I’ll probably try and get ahead with the blog to be honest, so if you want a chat then feel free to catch me on social over the weekend.
Have a great one!
