Hey pals, so, I’ve made a bit of a leap and decided to kick-start a YouTube channel. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while, and it just seemed like a good time. I actually tried vlogging about a month ago, but when I looked back at the footage I just really wasn’t happy with it, so decided to film a beauty video to see how I’d get on with that. I know it’s not perfect yet, but I had a great time filming it so I hope you enjoy it!
BUT, since you guys know me first and foremost for my blog, I thought I’d write a post about my everyday skin care routine as well. I go into more detail in the video, and you can get a better look at the routine in the video if you fancy it, so there is no harm in watching and reading to absorb as much as possible!
It may seem like a cheeky Dermalogica sponsored post, but really I just spend all my money on their products, because they are the one’s that work best for me.
So my favourite Dermalogica products that I absolutely cannot live without are the Ultra-calming Cleanser, Skin Smoothing Cream, and Ultra-sensitive tint. I had a skin-mapping done with them about 4 or 5 years ago now, and have used these products ever since as I saw such a transformation.
Firstly I use the Ultra-calming cleanser, it’s a gel formula but doesn’t dry my skin out too much, and is so gentle and can be used with or without water if your skin really isn’t that sensitive. This, along with the ultra-sensitive tint are products I have used ever since I had my first face-mapping done with Dermalogica four or five years ago. I saw such a transformation in the first few weeks of using them that I’ve never looked back. If I ever take a break and try something else I really notice my skin starting to break out, or getting red or sensitive.
As the ultra-sensitive tint is a tinted moisturiser (duh…) I have also more recently started using the Skin Smoothing Cream for a heavier duty moisturiser underneath, and I have absolutely fallen head over heels for it. Although it’s not part of the ultra-calming range which put me off to start with, it’s a beautifully light formula that works wonders on patches of dry or dehydrated skin.
Moving swiftly off the topic of Dermalogica and the only other brand that features in my skin care routine at the moment, which is of course, everyone’s favourite, Lush. My all time favourite mask, is the Mask of Magnaminty. Although it’s not necessarily meant for my skin type it just does a great job of giving a deep clean, and getting rid of any spots or minor breakouts, whilst also exfoliating. It’s just a great staple beauty product to have in your back pocket for days when you just want your skin to feel clean and fresh.
The Eau Roma Water is probably the newest addition to my routine, but oh my isn’t it a good one? It’s so natural it has about 3 ingredients and it is by far the only effective toner water I’ve used. It also has really helped to clear my redness completely, which is something I never thought would happen.
Have you used any of these products before? What are your favourites?
