Decorated double Denim  Catch up with round 1 from the Sky Garden here

Being someone whose ever on the look out for potential outfit shooting opportunities. A trip to the Sky Garden with a fellow blogger, was one I could not miss out on by turning up in my yoga gear! (makes sense if you read round 1!). Now whilst my original intention was to shoot my gorgeous new floral dress that I just picked up – the weather had other ideas, and I didn’t fancy freezing to death that day funnily enough. I did however, decided to make my first venture out into the world of bare legs for 2016. It was foolish.

What I wore

Shirt – Zara / Skirt – Asos / Tee – Brandy Melville / Boots – All Saints (ancient but similar here)

Now however pretty my floral dress would’ve looked, I would have also suffered a lot of wrath from that infamous miranda priestly gif, so to save you the hassle, I decided to post about the new trend that Zara has taken the lead in this season with their ‘I am Denim’ Collection: decorated denim!

If you’ve been in store recently, you will have noticed that they are a hive of white, black and blue denim covered in patches, slogans and embroidery. I picked up this shirt, partly because I fell in love with the shape, and colour, but partly for it’s sequinned slogan credentials: ‘New Art’ and bananas – obviously!

This is also my first time venturing into the world’s of double denim. Particularly with pieces that are both the same colour. I thought I would put it on, look in the mirror and run away scared. Luckily I woke up late so didn’t have time to second-guess myself. I think the striped Tee, and the fact the skirt is short helped ease me in without too much denim overload.

Will you be trying out the decorated denim trend?

This outfit (and scenery!) are both so gorgeous! I love the slogan on the shirt so much, it definitely adds another element to this outfit. I would never usually pair denim with denim, but you’ve made it look so cool!
